The second round of the annual Birch-Cabaret tropy took place on Sunday 21st September at the Carrefour Terrains.

Having brought a six game advantage from the first round, JPC were confident of success and after the first two games, honours were shared at 15 all. The third set of games went to Carrefour 9-6, reducing JPCs lead to three and the final game went the same way, thereby drawing the competition at 60 games all!

However, Carrefour took the trophy on points, 1163 to 1151.

The Autumn round of the above competition was played at Les Quennevais on Sunday 5th October and the results were as follows:

JSAD Series

Three series of petanque were recently held for a number of people with learning and other disabilities, in conjunction with the JSAD. The final event was on Wednesday 16th July, when medals were presented. This year the winners were:

June 29th - PBS Invitation Doubles Competition

The Jersey Petanque Club PBS Invitation Match was played on Sunday June 29th. Each pair was made up of a club member (C), their invitee (I) and played four games.

The final result was extremely close and for the third year running, Matthew & Sue Pinel took top place.

The results were:

Second                    Graham Follain (C) & Sarah Le Cornu (I)             4 wins plus 34
