THE JERSEY PETANQUE CLUB
Invite families and youngsters to a new venture for 2011.
Petanque is played by the whole family in France and around the world, so the Jersey Petanque Club is inviting parents and grand-parents to come along with their youngsters to enjoy the sport together! Children aged from 7 years of age are invited to join in at the club’s premises at the Les Quennevais Sports grounds. All of the family are welcome but if the adults wish to be just spectators that is fine too.
The club will be holding monthly sessions on the last Saturday of the month, commencing at the end of May. These will start at 9.30am and finish at 11.30am.
(Please see the full list of dates below and note that the June session only will be on a Monday evening due to our French visitors joining us at the weekend)
Qualified coaches will be on hand to train the competitors in how to play the game and experienced club players will partner both the youngsters and ‘grown ups’ in melee games. The sessions will also include various training exercises to ensure everyone has fun as they train for this challenging sport.
There will be no charge for entry but all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
