Members Fred and Elaine Paisnel competed in this year’s boules blitz in Cork.

The competition attracted 20 teams from England, Wales and various parts of Ireland as well as the Jersey pair.

Teams competed in group stages on the Saturday. The top two of each group made up the Complete Cuisine Trophy competition on Sunday. As Fred and Elaine finished third in their group (winning 3 of their 6 games) they competed for the Loftus Cup in the second competition. Here they won 3 of their 5 games and came third overall, winning 50 euros for their efforts.
